Erathor is the name of a small island off the north coast of Middle Earth. For thousands of years the inhabitants of the island stayed away from the mainland of Middle Earth, preferring to stay out of the squabbles of the "lesser races".
Geography[]
The interior of the island is entirely desert, this desert, known as the Black Sea, covers approximately 65% of the total land area of the island. Within the Black Sea there are many mountain ranges, reputedly there is a vast in shore sea within the desert, this sea is suppoused to be surrounded by mountainous peaks and deep valleys.
The only parts of the island that are continually inhabited are the coastal areas. These areas constitute the outskirts of the island and are primarily lush green plains with sparse forests ocurring every now and then.
