Biography[]

Kilinil Druminbar was born of humble origins in Valinor in the Undying Lands. When the Sons of Fëanor called the Ñoldor to fight Morgoth in Middle-Earth, Kilinil refused to go, but being a dependent of his parents at the time, he was forced to.

During the 400 year siege, Kilinil reached full maturity and joined the armed forces of King Fingolfin.

In the Battle of Sudden Flame, Kilinil was stationed at the Pass of Sirion with his unit and commanding officer. However, when the 250th routed and fled, Kilinil stayed and fought on until a retreat was ordered.

The events after the rout of the 250th Company are documented in the fan-fiction novel: Veteran.

Personality and Traits[]

Like his Captain, Kilinil was noble-hearted, even if not from noble birth. He disliked war and bloodshed, but seldom was disgusted by them, being a seasoned soldier and confident warrior by the time of the Dagor Bragollach.

Kilinil's role in battle was usually to stand on the opposite side of the unit from Captain Arandir Ballach, and relay his orders to the rest of the soldiers. He never broke the formation, and never disobeyed orders, and used every part of his training in combat. These tendencies later earned him the name 'perfect soldier'.
